Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Principal Certification Engineer - Aftermarket in Leighton Buzzard, UK. This onsite role leads certification compliance and airworthiness, executing STC, PMA, UK CAA and OEM programs and shaping certification strategy.

Onsite in Leighton Buzzard, you will mentor engineers, define standards, coordinate with regulators and OEMs, and drive continuous improvement in certification activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar certification role.
• Aerospace experience, ideally In Service/Aftermarket.
• Experience with OEM/FAA/EASA certification processes.
• M1020 Signatory experience required.
• Design and certification of mechanical/electrical interior systems.
• Current EASA/UK CVE or equivalent (Part 25).

Responsibilities

• Define standards and processes for certification and airworthiness.
• Execute certification campaigns for interior upgrades.
• Coordinate with regulators, OEMs and Collins teams on strategies.
• Develop training plans and mentor engineers.
• Review test plans, reports and compliance documents.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve complex project problems.
