Job Description:

We have a brand-new opportunity for a Senior/Principal Building Physics Engineer to join our MEP division based in our new central office.

It's an exciting time to join our MEP team! We have a proven track record working within London and are involved in various healthcare, defence, and data centre projects, with plans to expand the team over the next 12 months. This is a great opportunity to learn from experts and advance quickly.

Your role will include:

  • Energy modelling and building simulation, including HVAC system modelling.
  • CFD simulations
  • Daylight simulations
  • Applying detailed knowledge of HVAC components, controls, and system operations.
  • Completing projects for Part L compliance, CIBSE TM59/52, London planning, EPCs, CIBSE TM54, CIBSE TM63.
  • Modelling and calibrating existing buildings and portfolios.
  • Early design modelling focusing on parametric optimisations.
  • Liaising with design teams, authorities, and contractors.
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting project management.

Specialists in energy, sustainability, and engineering design, working across sectors like commercial, industrial, leisure, retail, manufacturing, logistics, heritage, and residential.

To succeed, you need:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or building services engineering.
  • Proven experience in building physics, energy modelling, and simulation.
  • Experience with software like IES, TAS, Design Builder, EnergyPlus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC components and controls.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with teams and clients.
