Summary

The Senior Principal Biostatistician in Early Development is responsible for all statistical work—scientific and operational—for one or more assigned trials, in collaboration with the clinical trial team.

About the Role

Our Development Team aims to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people's lives. We are enhancing our processes, investing in new technologies, and expanding our therapeutic areas to deliver medicines to patients faster. We seek talented individuals like you to join us in this mission.

The Role:

Independently work at the trial level, potentially co-leading with a pharmacometrician on indication or project-level activities. Propose and lead the implementation of innovative trial designs, statistical models, and data exploration methodologies. This role offers hybrid working, requiring 3 days per week or 12 days per month in our London Office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all statistical tasks on assigned trials, including protocol development, analysis plans, and reporting.
  • Contributing to exploratory and publication-related analyses, including PK, PK/PD, biomarker, and statistical consultation.
  • Interpreting and explaining statistical methodologies and results; supporting regulatory submissions and responses.
  • Engaging with external review boards, ethics committees, and consultants.
  • Representing the Early Development Analytics Function on cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborating with other functions, communicating complex statistical concepts clearly.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Proposing innovative designs to optimize dose finding and drug development, and managing program-level activities and vendor partnerships.

Your Experience:

  • MS in Statistics with 10+ years or PhD with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven expertise in applying statistics to clinical trials, with skills in SAS, R, and familiarity with drug development guidelines.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and in early clinical development strategies.
  • Knowledge of pharmacometric principles is a plus.
