We are currently looking for a talented and motivated BIM Coordinator in Edinburgh to join our Technical Management Team.

What does the role involve?

As a BIM Coordinator, you'll be accountable for driving the efficient development and use of standards, methods, and processes across project delivery teams. The purpose of this role is to assist the Energy and Special Interest Projects Technical team in maintaining high standards and efficiency in project delivery, developing clear workflows, and identifying the right tools to enable the best of integrated design delivery.

  • Research, develop & manage the Digital Design and BIM delivery process through collaborative initiatives in-house & industry professionals.
  • Maintain documentation information in compliance with the BIM protocol & industry strategy set by the Centre for Digital Built Britain.
  • Verify, adapt & maintain information for the team's Standards, Methods, and Processes (SMPs).
  • Resourcing & training the BIM team through workshops, training, & external CPDs with guidance from the SIP Core Team.
  • Coordinate the production of design outputs related to discipline-specific, package-based, or time-based tasks in compliance with project SMPs and systems.
  • Manage spatial coordination on behalf of the team.
  • Coordinate & validate consistent delivery of design information.

To be successful, you’ll possess:

  • An understanding of ISO 19650 part 2 Information Management for the delivery phase of AECO projects.
  • High technical competency in Building Information Model Coordination.
  • Experience using key Information Management Documents to deliver lean, stage-appropriate information models.
  • Knowledge of Common Data Environments and best practices.
  • Experience working to Company Standards, Methods, and Processes.
  • Advanced Revit family creation experience or understanding, with a desire to develop further.
  • Experience with data population/validation, specifically COBie Schema.
  • Understanding of lean workflow development for efficient design using BIM.
