Job description

Neo Environmental, an award-winning planning and environmental consultancy, have exciting opportunities for Landscape Architects of various grades to work on a broad variety of projects, with the main focus on renewables.

The positions will offer the right individuals the opportunity to work for a well-established and growing planning and environmental consultancy.

You will be given plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and expertise through ongoing mentoring and training in a friendly environment. The ideal candidates will be able to work with a high degree of independence as well as in teams.

Duties

  • Managing landscape work within the company
  • Line Management duties
  • Undertaking Landscape and Visual Assessment (LVAs)
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Providing landscape design advice relating to LVAs and LVIA
  • Producing or aiding in the production of Landscape Plans
  • Undertaking site visits and photography
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and statutory consultees

Essential Criteria

  • Degree qualified in Landscape Architecture in the UK
  • Proven technical ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of the LVA/LVIA process
  • An excellent standard of written English
  • Good knowledge and understanding of UK legislation.
  • Experienced in GIS and other software packages such as sketchup
  • An ability to work independently when necessary and meet tight deadlines under pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail and working to the highest standards
  • Full driving licence
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Own transport

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in a similar consultancy environment
  • Chartered or on pathway to chartership
  • LVA and LVIA experience
  • Bid production
