Job summary

Ramboll UK is seeking a senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead technical direction for Transmission & Distribution projects, including Substations, OHL foundations, and cable routes. You will mentor engineers, support client meetings, and help shape proposals with cost and programme input.

The role requires chartered status and 10+ years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of UK standards and National Grid/DNO specs.

Responsibilities

• Support bid, client meetings, and marketing; shape proposals and cost inputs.
• Guide project planning, resourcing and risk management.
• Advise on standards, CDM, and health & safety compliance.

Essential Requirements

• Degree (BEng / MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE / MIStructE).
• 10+ years' experience in civil & structural engineering with strong T&D exposure.
• Proven experience in Transmission & Distribution infrastructure, including substations and power networks.
• Experience working with:National GridDNOs (UK Power Networks, SSEN, SPEN, WPD, etc.)
• Experience in framework delivery environments.
• Demonstrable experience as a:Lead Engineer, Design Manager, or Technical
