Sevenoaks District Council is seeking a Senior Principal Accountant to lead key financial processes, contribute to annual accounts, and play a major role in the audit cycle. The role supports budget planning, capital accounting and special projects within a financially secure council.
The successful candidate will be a qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant with 3–5 years of relevant experience, and will work in a hybrid setting with two days on-site per week at Sevenoaks.
Salary package: £65,875 - 69,832
We are looking for a qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA) who will be fully involved and make a major contribution to the full range of functions of a district council finance team.
This will include playing a key role in the production of the annual accounts including extensive involvement in the annual audit process. It will also include input to the annual budget, capital accounting and involvement in projects.
