Senior Primavera P6 Planner for Water Projects

Job summary

OCU Group is seeking a Senior P6 Project Planner to develop and manage project programmes across inception to commissioning for water schemes, liaising with construction and site teams to update programmes, monitor progress and provide management reporting.

The role requires Primavera P6 expertise, NEC/FIDIC/JCT contract experience, strong knowledge of project controls, and a driving licence; based in Delamere with permanent full-time status.

Qualifications

• Experienced Senior P6 Project Management within the Water Industry (Mandatory).
• Primavera P6 Experienced Practitioner (Mandatory).
• Experience with NEC Form of Contracts (Mandatory).
• Working Knowledge of FIDIC & JCT Forms of Contract (Desirable).
• HNC (Construction related) or equivalent.
• Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of project controls, planning and construction activities.
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of planning and controls tools and techniques, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6.
• Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Visitor – Yellow (can be obtained).
• Keep informed of updates, new technology and software developments.
• Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tender and bid documents to build detailed programmes with cost/time/resource needs.
• Coordinate input from tender/bid teams into planning activities.
• Develop tender/bid programmes into construction programmes (1st principles).
• Create and update programmes throughout project life cycle.
• Apply change control: early warnings, compensation events and manager instructions and reflect in programme.
• Coordinate inputs from construction team and lead programme development and updating.
• Review progress with construction team and supply chain; update programmes and produce reports.
• Create earned value and cost/resource loading reporting.
• Identify risks and mitigation with delivery teams; assist Project Manager as needed.
• Attend meetings with Project Teams and Clients.
• Liaise with Client’s Planners, Construction Managers and Project Managers as required.
• Attend site regularly to assist planning matters.
