Job summary

NHS Forth Valley is recruiting an Advanced Pharmacist to lead a team delivering pharmaceutical care within Primary Care GP clusters. The post requires autonomous clinical decision-making and potential independent prescribing, or progress toward it, with a strong focus on service development.

You will work across hospital and community pharmacy networks, training colleagues and ensuring high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment. Travel across the service area is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with UK PVG scheme eligibility.
• Active independent prescriber or working towards qualification.
• Experience in leading a team delivering pharmaceutical care in primary care.
• Strong service development and CPD mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver pharmaceutical care at GP cluster level.
• Contribute to training staff and developing services within Primary Care.
• Collaborate with hospital, community pharmacy colleagues and care homes.
• Engage in CPD and demonstrate competence across five domains of practice.
• Travel throughout the service area is essential.
