We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Eastwood Park, a Female Remand Prison located in Falfield, Gloucester. The prison houses around 360 patients who are waiting to be sentenced. Based in a rural location, so own transport is essential.

Hours:
3 x 12.5 hours shifts including weekends and nights

Salary:
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £52,507 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing:
As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions.
• Undertake medication rounds.
• Dispense controlled medication.
• Attend emergency response situations.
• Assess patients and undertake reception screening.

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered nurse - Adult
• Current professional qualification (NMC)
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development
• Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards
