We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A prison located in Thameside, London.

HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison with a capacity for 910 inmates. Healthcare services include Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Pharmacy.

Hours

7 days a week, 0700 - 1900 and 1900 - 0700 shifts

Salary

This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, respond to emergencies, assess patients, and conduct reception screening
  • Provide personalized, evidence-based care, listening to and acting on patient feedback
  • Deliver non-judgmental care that makes a real difference
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, ensuring a trusted and safe service
  • Promote best practices, clinical supervision, and continuous quality improvement
  • Share knowledge and support team development to ensure safe and effective care
