Role Overview
Markerstudy Group is looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst (Modelling) to join a growing and established team.
You will be responsible for utilizing your technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and market-leading tools to produce creative and actionable pricing solutions. This role aims to maximize Atlanta's ability to meet its strategy and annual plan, while also influencing that strategy through regular identification of opportunities to Pricing Managers, the Head of Pricing, and the Executive Committee.
As a Senior Pricing Analyst - Modelling, you will use your advanced analytical skills to:
- Provide technical leadership on WTW toolkit (particularly Emblem and Radar) to drive effective and efficient solutions that meet business requirements and add value.
- Offer thought leadership on modelling concepts.
- Lead and manage the development of solutions that deliver business requirements and value.
- Ensure all team members follow quality assurance processes and manage risk according to policies.
- Research, develop, and promote best practice methods and standards across the department.
- Plan, design, and lead the development of Atlanta's pricing capabilities.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of statistical techniques through ongoing research to keep Atlanta at the forefront of analysis and modelling.
- Assist Pricing Managers in tactical and strategic decision-making.
- Deputise for Pricing Managers and the Head of Pricing.
Key Skills And Experience
- Experience in general insurance pricing.
- Knowledge of predictive modelling techniques such as Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets, and Clustering.
- Proficiency in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g., R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL).
- A quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science).
- Proven experience with modelling using WTW toolkit (Emblem and Radar).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
