We offer flexible working arrangements, allowing you to choose a comfortable and productive environment, either from home or in our London or Folkestone hubs. The Pricing & Projects team meets twice a month, typically in London.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Pricing Analyst, your responsibilities include proactively analyzing data to identify opportunities that drive commercial value and competitive advantage, ensuring profitable growth for Saga’s insurance business.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Model, interpret, and monitor business data for market trends, product opportunities, and rating factors.
  • Provide thought leadership in insurance pricing and data analysis.
  • Support strategic projects as a subject matter expert.
  • Assist in developing pricing models for deployment using Radar and other tools.
  • Make data-driven recommendations.
  • Extract insights using advanced techniques, including machine learning.
  • Monitor post-implementation impacts and recommend adjustments.
  • Build strong relationships with underwriters and collaborate on initiatives to enhance group value.
  • Support pricing aspects of business change initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing fairness and data policies.
  • Represent the pricing department in business change programs.
  • Support testing of IT-related pricing changes.
  • Contribute to the learning and development of team analysts.

Additional industry knowledge includes:

  • Deep understanding of general insurance pricing processes and methodologies.
  • Strong numerical and statistical skills.

  • Influencing and relationship management abilities.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop team members.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Knowledge of modeling software like Radar, Emblem, or similar.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to pricing.
