Role Description

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Allianz Broker Pricing team within our Home team. This will be a hybrid position based either in Birmingham or London.

As a Senior Pricing Analyst in the Broker Team, you will lead decision-making processes, conduct statistical analyses, and recommend strategies to improve our pricing and products for customers and brokers.

You will participate in the Global P&C Academy, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management, while sharing best practices across Allianz Group. Allianz Insurance also offers a generous study package for actuarial qualifications through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Salary Information

Circa £50,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of our comprehensive reward package.

About You

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and executing risk model updates, with a focus on data and process improvements.
• Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to understand their data needs and modeling objectives.
• Managing data from source to modeling and rating implementation.
• Analyzing data, interpreting outputs, and communicating results to non-technical audiences.
• Building and testing statistical models and machine learning algorithms.

Essential Skills

Ideal candidates will have:

• Solid knowledge of statistical modeling methods, especially GLMs.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques, particularly GBMs.
• Experience working with large data sources.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, SAS, or similar languages.
• Experience with Willis Towers Watson software such as Radar or Emblem.
• Understanding of elements of a Technical Price, including expenses, costs, and assumptions.
