Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join the Retail Protection Pricing team in Hove. We’re offering a competitive base salary, great benefits, study support, and the opportunity to get involved with some exciting and cutting-edge pricing work.

What you'll be doing:

• Developing and pricing new and existing products, providing pricing expertise and additional support as required.
• Developing new pricing concepts, considering market trends.
• Monitoring and analysing market rates to identify strategies to improve market share and profitability.
• Supporting product development, commercial deals, and pricing innovations.
• Helping develop and update data and models used in price optimisation.
• Summarising insurance product performance for senior management decision-making.
• Improving processes through data analytics.
• Maintaining documentation for pricing procedures, analyses, decisions, and controls.

Who we're looking for:

• A student actuary or data scientist; actuarial students studying towards IFoA exams are welcome.
• Experience in actuarial or data science roles, preferably in commercial pricing or life insurance.
• Strong IT and programming skills, with experience in Python, R, SQL, and Excel.
• Knowledge of Prophet is a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and recommend ideas.
• Ability to work independently under time pressure with minimal supervision.
