Job summary

The Actuary is seeking a qualified actuary to join its Casualty business in a highly visible role that blends technical pricing, portfolio management, strategic planning and team leadership.

You will partner with casualty underwriters and senior stakeholders to assess portfolio performance, identify trends and develop strategies to improve underwriting results. The role includes pricing large accounts, developing rating tools, and contributing to capital modelling and long-term planning.

Qualifications

• FIA with at least two years' post-qualification experience.
• Solid knowledge of casualty pricing and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance and long-tail risks.
• Experience in case pricing, rating-tool development, loss modelling and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Pricing large and complex accounts, facilities and binders.
• Develop experience-rating tools and calibrate exposure-rating models.
• Support reinsurance decisions and capital-modelling parameterisation.
• Monitor inflation, renewal-rate and pricing-adequacy; prepare profitability studies.
• Lead a small team and collaborate with offshore analyst group.
