Qualifications

Job description

The Global Markets Property Senior Pricing Actuary will be a leading contributor to the Global Market Lines pricing practice and will be embedded with underwriting functions for the business units.

  • Location: London
  • Type: Permanent

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Assist with the development, validation, and maintenance of a suite of technical pricing models across the various Property products.
  • Lead the regular product monitoring analysis cycle for the allocated lines and lead the discussion with the Division and Business leaders to identify issues, discuss opportunities, assist in the development of action plans, and develop measures to monitor their progress.
  • Synthesize information across subject areas and present conclusions to individual line underwriting leaders as well as divisional management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, or a similar field which demonstrates an affinity and talent for quantitative analysis.
  • Associate or Fellow of an accredited Actuarial Society, or commensurate experience. Intention to qualify as a fellow of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent professional body, strong track record of progress in actuarial examinations to date.
  • Knowledge of Property exposures, coverages and accumulation models.
  • Experience in a general insurance actuarial role; consultancy or company.
  • The ability to manipulate complex datasets using tools such as VBA, SQL, R, Python, or similar.
