Job Title: Senior Press/Media Officer

Location: London (2 days in office per week)

Salary: £44-47K based on experience

I am partnering with a high-impact, values-led institution with a strong public voice across the UK. They’re seeking a Senior Press & Media Officer to help shape the public narrative, manage media engagement, and guide communications across complex and often sensitive subject areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring clear and consistent messaging and communications across traditional and digital channels.
  • Drafting press releases, statements, and media briefings
  • Providing first-line media handling and press enquiry response.
  • Supporting crisis comms and strategic media planning.
  • Ensuring tone and messaging reflect the organisation’s values and public responsibility.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and regional communications contacts

Requirements:

  • Experience in a press/media/comms role – ideally within a public-facing, charitable, or mission-led organisation.
  • Confidence working with senior people and sensitive topics.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and press tools such as MailChimp, CMS, and social media.
  • A thoughtful and respectful understanding of faith-based or values-driven organisations is beneficial.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and calmly under pressure.
