Job Description

As a Solution Architect for Finance, you will work alongside the Sales teams and Business Architects to understand prospect and customer business and functional objectives, along with the “As-is” and “To-be” states of the organization. Your role is to provide a functional product solution and demonstrate it where needed.

Customer-facing IFS presentations should ensure the knowledge and delivery of the value and technical solution customers expect. Expectations for Solution Architects include:

1. Participate in internal and customer/prospect facing product presentations and demonstrations.
2. Provide answers to technical questions in RFIs or RFPs.
3. Assist with technical qualification of sales opportunities.
4. Have expert knowledge of specific IFS products, industries, and services relevant to your area.
5. Build custom end-to-end demonstrations aligned with customers’/prospect key business initiatives.
6. Ensure the successful delivery of Proof of Value tied to the customers’ success criteria and business initiatives.
7. Translate technical and business needs into customer-focused, value-centric solutions.
8. Maintain high knowledge of all products and services, including roadmaps, and liaise regularly with Product Management.
9. Provide feedback on large and complex customer requirements, involving senior management when needed.
10. Work with enterprise-level prospects and clients, questioning them to cover architecture, including integration into wider environments.
11. Understand and demonstrate key metrics, KPIs, and business drivers for IFS Industries.
12. Collaborate with sales to address technical needs.
13. Ensure excellence and passion in every customer engagement.
14. Assist at external and internal customer-facing events.
15. Continuously seek ways to develop or improve strategic initiatives to enhance go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

• University education, professional qualifications, or relevant work experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge in Finance, especially legal requirements in the UK&I region.
• Deep knowledge of solution development, software applications, and business process mapping at a senior level.
• Proven experience with ERP software or similar.
• Strong communication and planning skills.
• Ability to work across functions and locations under deadlines.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Pre-Sales Solution Architect Specific Knowledge

• Proven experience in one or more of IFS’s core industries.
• Knowledge of financial accounting and procurement.
• Experience with project cost control in asset-intensive industries.
• Ability to develop solutions for customer demonstrations and presentations.
• Understanding of end-to-end business processes and solution mapping.
• Knowledge of IFS products and processes related to your expertise.
• Commitment to self-learning and training.
• Alignment with IFS Values.
