Job summary

The role is full-time with temp-to-perm prospects, requires instant availability, DBS updated, and a full UK driving license; you will lead the premises team, coordinate contractors and support school events.

Contract: Full-Time ; Temp to Perm

We are looking for an experienced Senior Premises Operative to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and security of a busy preparatory school site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the Premises Operative.
• Carry out maintenance, repairs, and site inspections.
• Ensure the school grounds and buildings are safe, secure, and well-presented.
• Coordinate contractors and support school events.
• Act as a keyholder and participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
• Undertake gate duties and operational checks.
• Drive the school minibus where appropriately licensed.

Requirements:

• Previous premises, facilities, caretaking, or site management experience.
• Strong practical maintenance skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one immediately).
• Available for an immediate start.
• Full UK driving licence (D1 entitlement desirable).
