VACGEN is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician for our Cleanroom manufacturing team in Hailsham. You will build complex UHV manipulation and sample-handling systems from detailed drawings, ensuring strict cleanliness and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in precision assembly within high-technology environments and can interpret engineering drawings, follow procedures, and work methodically to meet tight deadlines.

Competenze

• Experience in high-technology or complex engineering environments.
• Ability to follow technical drawings and specifications precisely.
• Understanding of cleanliness and precision within UHV/cleanroom contexts.

Mansioni

• Assemble complex mechanical and electrical components from drawings and specs.
• Build UHV manipulation and sample-handling systems and sub-assemblies.
• Perform precision hand fitting and mechanical assembly to tight tolerances.
• Complete UHV-compatible wiring and electrical testing.
• Maintain manufacturing docs, work instructions and test data.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve issues.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites for meetings or visits.
