Job summary

Kaluza is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to build AI-powered mock services and reusable assets that demonstrate real value to clients. You’ll blend development with tech storytelling to validate Kaluza’s offerings in real-time.

Based in London or Bristol with hybrid work, you’ll collaborate across Product, Design and Commercial teams while mentoring others and shaping pre-sales engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Node.js / TypeScript and React.
• Experience leveraging LLMs and Generative AI to build apps, debug issues, and accelerate development.
• Experience designing clean, well-documented APIs (REST/GraphQL) and using Git workflows.
• Familiarity with AWS primitives and deploying infrastructure with Terraform.
• Autonomous, pragmatic, and capable of operating with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• AI-Accelerated Prototyping: use LLMs to scaffold proofs-of-concept and mock services.
• Technical Asset Development: design, build, and maintain mock services and APIs.
• Infrastructure as Code: manage demo environments with Terraform and secure authentication patterns.
• Frontend collaboration: coordinate with UI teams to wire UI to mock services.
• Strategic Pre-Sales support: translate client themes into technical artefacts and demos.
• Product & UX influence: collaborate on UI direction while contributing own ideas.
• Mentorship & standards: help set engineering standards for the pre-sales team.
• AI evangelism: mentor team on GenAI workflows for demos.
