Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales/Application Engineer – Applied ML & HPC for a deep-tech client commercializing quantum-enhanced computing for AI and optimization workloads. The role is highly technical and customer-facing, not a back-office position.

You will own the technical side of the sales motion end-to-end: building demos, writing architectures and technical blueprints, running PoCs, and serving as the credible technical voice to move deals through the funnel.

Qualifications

• Pre-sales experience in deep-tech or high-tech (Quantum, HPC) with the ability to own technical conversations.
• Hands-on credibility to build and run demos and PoCs, set up environments.
• Background in HPC, ML, or optimization; Python proficiency expected.

I'm hiring for a Senior Pre-Sales/Application Engineer – Applied ML & HPC on behalf of our client, a deep-tech company commercializing quantum-enhanced computing for AI and optimization workloads, already live with customers running real hybrid quantum-classical systems in production settings.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing technical role, not a back-office solutions job. You'd own the technical side of the sales motion end-to-end: building demos, writing architectures and technical blueprints, running proof-of-concept engagements, and being the credible technical voice in the room that moves deals through the funnel.

What you need:

• Hands-on technical credibility: able to build and run demos and PoCs yourself, set up environments, and speak fluently about distributed/industrial computing
• Background in HPC, ML, or optimization environments, Python proficiency expected, but this isn't a heads-down engineering role
• Experience training or optimizing ML systems.
