Senior Presales Engineer – Global Fintech Platform

Overview

An international technology business is on a mission to build the best way to move and manage money globally – with minimal fees, maximum ease, and full speed. Whether it’s individuals sending money overseas or enterprises managing cross-border payments, this company is building a new kind of financial infrastructure for everyone, everywhere.

The Platform Division

This part of the business enables global banks, software platforms, and large enterprises to integrate world-class international payments into their own channels. With partners including major banks and top tech brands, the team operates globally across North America, Europe, and Asia.

The Role

As a Senior Presales Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in driving the company’s growth by designing scalable, tailored payment solutions for strategic enterprise clients. Working closely with Product, Sales, and Delivery, you’ll lead technical discovery, craft bespoke solutions, and influence C-suite and engineering decision-makers across the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospective partners by deeply understanding their business and technical requirements.
  • Shape and present tailored solutions that align the company’s platform capabilities with client needs.
  • Collaborate with business development to navigate complex sales cycles, contribute to proposals and RFPs, and drive revenue outcomes.
  • Conduct detailed solution analysis, risk mitigation, and documentation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Create and maintain collateral such as demos, proof of concepts, and technical presentations.
  • Capture and relay partner feedback to Product teams to influence roadmap and feature development.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience in presales or solutions engineering roles, ideally within fintech or payments.
  • Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, SWIFT, and local/global payment networks.
  • Proven ability to close commercial deals via consultative and solution-led sales approaches.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical details to business and technical audiences.
  • Experience engaging with banks or financial institutions, understanding both regulatory and operational challenges.
  • A customer-first mindset, with the ability to balance client requirements with internal product and delivery constraints.

Why Join?

  • Equity in a high-growth, mission-driven global company.
  • Hybrid working and flexibility to work internationally for up to 90 days per year.
  • 6-week paid sabbatical after 4 years.
  • Excellent benefits including private medical, travel insurance, enhanced parental leave, and annual development budget.
  • A culture that values impact, autonomy, and inclusivity – with regular team activities and a pet-friendly office.
