Job summary

Sinewave Swindon, United Kingdom is seeking a Major Projects Pre-Construction Project Manager to lead pre-construction activities for high-value electrical projects.

You will coordinate design queries, maintain programs, liaise with clients and EPC contractors, and drive delivery on time and within budget. The role requires 5+ years in electrical utilities and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience in the electrical utility industry.
• Proven track record of effectively managing projects.
• Competence in MS Project or equivalent project management software.
• Ability to work with multiple teams and tight deadlines.
• Understanding of the project lifecycle from ownership to completion.
• Ability to forecast project profit and delivery.
• Project reporting, progress against targets and budgets.
• Understanding of Streetworks and permits.
• Customer management confidence.
• Ability to drive and deliver complex multi-million-pound projects.
• Excellent organisation and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for pre-construction enquiries.
• Review and maintain accurate pre-construction programs for projects.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and clients to support delivery.
• Data gathering through customers and site visits to ensure the estimating and delivery team have pre-construction information.
• Set up and maintain Project Communication System and documentation.
• Maintain management tools such as Status Reports and other monitoring reports.
• Partake in meetings to understand support required for each project.
• Support with the creation of pre-energisation documentation.
• Provide routine updates and reports at operational and commercial levels.
• Chase invoices and liaise with Project Manager to ensure payment terms are fulfilled.
• Assist with administrative functions in project development and design submission, payment stages, construction and operations.
• Carry out tasks as requested by Project Managers and senior managers.
