Job description

Sunderland City Council are seeking a Senior Social Worker/AMHP to join our dedicated 24/7 AMHP team. An experienced AMHP you will have in depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice and be dedicated to being the best AMHP you can be. You will have demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate those around you to deliver outstanding AMHP practice. As a flexible team player you will be committed to support the delivery of a 24/7/365 service including covering out of hour shifts as necessary.

In return you will be supported by an experienced AMHP team manager and a service manager who is also a practicing AMHP. We have a good working relationship with partner agencies and a key part of your role will be to sustain and further develop these alongside the wider AMHP team. Sunderland City Council recognise that being an AMHP is a complex and challenging role and strive to ensure that our AMHPs are supported to maintain their wellbeing and maintain a healthy work / life balance.
