Job summary

Warrington Borough Council is seeking a Senior Practitioner to lead quality assurance and safeguarding across Children’s Social Care. The role promotes a systemic and relationship-based practice approach and supports practitioners and managers through reflection, learning, and evidence-informed interventions.

The post holder will drive continuous improvement by audits, reflective learning, delivery of training, contributing to safeguarding reviews, and supporting QA activity that promotes safe,

We have a strong vision for social work practice in Warrington and are developing a new approach to social work. We are currently embedding a relationship-based practice model that has systemic practice at its core. We are working alongside the Centre for Systemic Social Work, who are providing a comprehensive training programme to social workers and managers across our teams.

The role

To provide professional leadership and expertise in the delivery of quality assurance, safeguarding, and practice improvement across Children’s Social Care. The postholder will promote a systemic and relationship-based approach, supporting practitioners, managers, and multi-agency partners to reflect on practice, understand the experiences of children and families, and improve outcomes through learning, analysis, and evidence-informed interventions.

The Senior Practitioner will play a key role in driving continuous improvement by undertaking audits, facilitating reflective learning, devising and delivery of training sessions to the workforce, contributing to safeguarding reviews, and supporting quality assurance activity that promotes safe, effective, and strengths-based practice.

Education, Qualifications and Knowledge
