Job summary

Barnsley Council is recruiting a Senior Social Worker to join its Children’s Services in Barnsley. The post offers a fixed-term contract for 12 months with a 37 hour week, Monday to Friday, and a flexible working approach while ensuring continuity of case management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in social work and safeguarding practice is expected.
  • DBS Enhanced clearance is required.

Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday with the requirement to be flexible. A gile Working - min 3 days in the office

This is a full-time role. We are committed to supporting work–life balance, and requests for flexible working, including job share, will be considered in line with the needs of the service. Given the requirement for continuity of support to service users, any flexible working arrangements would need to ensure consistency in case management.

Hours per week: 37

Contract type: Fixed Term for 12 months
