Qualifications

• To provide clinical leadership and direction in developing and delivering a high-quality psychology service within the adult acute inpatient service.
• To support transformation of acute inpatient care in line with national direction.
• To hold a clinical caseload including assessment, formulation and intervention (individual and/or group).
• To provide specialist psychological support and guidance to other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the acute pathway psychology team with support from a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
• Ensure access to a psychologically-based framework for understanding and caring for service users through advice and dissemination of research.
• Undertake risk assessment and contribute to risk management within the inpatient setting.
• Support inpatient colleagues through supervision, reflective practice and post-incident spaces.
• Contribute to audit, policy/service development and research within the service.
