Job description

As a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Lead on complex cases, carrying a complex caseload to include major adaptations under Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), moving and handling and postural assessments
  • Advise and support OTs with complex casework, as required
  • Lead OT Peer Supervision groups
  • Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to promote functional independence, wellbeing, and inclusive practice for adults with diverse needs
  • Work alongside OT Team Managers to share clinical expertise

You are an HCPC-registered occupational therapist with substantial post-qualification experience in adult social care.

You have:

  • Proven experience in adult social care and complex case management
  • A strong commitment to person-centred, strengths-based approaches
  • Ability to lead on complex casework, and risk assessments
  • Passion for empowering individuals to live meaningful lives
  • Skills in mentoring, clinical supervision, and evidence-informed practice
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation including, but not exclusive to, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Housing, and Moving and Handling
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and partnership working abilities
