BCHA has an opportunity in our flagship adult homeless service in Bournemouth; In this role you will lead an established team, develop customer led support using person centred and psychologically informed approaches by providing information, advice and support for adults who are or at risk of homelessness.

The team consistently use a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to reach the customer in a way that facilitates a better understanding of the person and how to most effectively support them.

You will guide the team to build trusting relationships with customers who find themselves in a vulnerable situation to manage risk, engage in recovery and work towards a sustainable pathway for the future.

Position:

BCHA has an opportunity in our Homelessness accommodation service in Bournemouth; In this role you will develop customer led support using person centred and psychologically informed approaches by providing information, advice and support for adults who are or at risk of homelessness

You will guide the team to build trusting relationships with customers who find themselves in a vulnerable situation to manage risk, engage in recovery and work towards a sustainable pathway for the future.

Requirements:

  • prioritise the immediate safety needs of the customers and manage risk;
  • enable customers to access funds and specific support services;
  • engage customers in their own recovery and support planning;
  • provide intensive personalised support and effective case management;
  • support access to services including legal, mental health, sexual, domestic, drug & alcohol abuse;
  • build professional working relationships - internally & externally;
  • be a resilient, confident, calm, practical & pragmatic person;
  • be self-motivated, proactive, assertive, empathic and non-judgemental;
  • have good listening, questioning and written skills
