Job summary

Peterborough City Council is seeking a Senior Practitioner for the Family Safeguarding team. You will manage complex caseloads involving children in need, child protection, and court work, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver positive outcomes.

You will be empowered to make key decisions, bring creative solutions, and travel between council locations as needed to support families and ensure safeguarding best practices.

Qualifications

• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Diligent and detail oriented.
• Willing to learn and maintain CPD.
• Willingness to travel between locations.
• In-depth knowledge of legal and policy frameworks in Children's Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Hold a complex caseload of Children in need, Child protection and court arena.
• Make important decisions and provide innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and services in co-located settings.
• Travel between locations as required.
