Job summary

We currently have an opportunity for a Band 7 Senior Practitioner post within our North Manchester Early Intervention Service (EIS)based in our exciting new and modern base at the Central Park Hub.

Mental health services in Manchester are commencing their journey around Community Transformation. Working towards a new community mental health framework vision for a place-based community mental health model.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with experience of working within an EI Service, who has strong leadership skills and is enthusiastic and motivated to support the clinical and management team with the aim of ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality services to our service users and carers, within the EIS model.

The successful candidate will be an experienced registered nurse or allied health professional who will relish working within the vibrant and challenging environment that comes with managing services.

Main duties of the job

Provide leadership, supervision, support and consultation to professionals within the team, in line with relevant clinical pathway as outlined within the operational procedures. Additionally the post holder will act as lead representing their own profession in wider organisational forums

Manage and evaluate a caseload in line with relevant clinical pathway as outlined within the operational procedure and will include: -

o Assessment

o Formulation

o Therapeutic intervention as required

o Signposting

o Close working with all colleagues

o To be responsible for a small complex caseload

o Contribute to Structured Clinical Management within the service

Undertake line management responsibility for designated staff in the EIS.

Deputise for the Team Manager / Senior Manager in his/her absence and take on any delegated management duties as required.
