Overview

Job Title: Senior Practitioner within the Children In Care Team

Salary: £32.73 per hour

Contract Type: Full-time Ongoing Contract

Location: Seaham office in Durham with home working. Three dedicated social workers are being recruited to join the Children in Care service, covering long-term sickness and maternity leave with a caseload of 20-25 children.

Responsibilities
  • Hold and manage a caseload of 20-25 children in our care.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team, focusing on the welfare and development of children looked after.
  • Implement understanding of looked after procedures and care planning regulations to ensure quality care.
  • Engage with multi-agency partners to facilitate seamless service delivery for children and families.
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans to meet the individual needs of children, ensuring all statutory duties are met.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
