Warrington Borough Council is seeking a Grade 9 Senior Practitioner for Adult Community Social Work, Locality Team. You will support the Team Manager, lead social work practitioners, and contribute to delivering a high-quality, person-centred care service in Warrington.
The role requires current Social Work England registration, a full UK driving licence, and robust communication with adults and families, with DBS clearance.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grade 9 Senior Practitioner post within Warrington's Adult Community Social Work, Locality Team. As senior practitioner you will have a mixed role of care assessment as well as supporting the Team Manager to manage social work practitioners to deliver a safe and effective service for Warrington residents in need of care and support with a focus on the following key areas:
As a valued member of the management team you will be supported by team manager with 4 weekly supervisions. You will work within the legislation of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) and Human Rights Act 1998 to deliver and support your team to deliver personalised assessment, support planning and reviews in addition to safeguarding enquiries and court of protection work. Applicants must meet the essential criteria set out in the person specification. You must hold a current active registration with Social Work England and a full UK driving licence. The ability to communicate at ease with members of the public and colleagues, providing clear information and advice is essential for the post. DBS clearance is required.
