Senior Practitioner Role

As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a lead role in enhancing the quality of professional social work practice across the entire case work cycle with children, young people, and their families.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing a needs-led, professional social work service to children, young people, and their families, in compliance with legislative requirements and established best practices.
• Managing allocated cases, including complex caseloads.
• Offering technical and professional expertise to less experienced social workers.
• Sharing knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, guidance, research, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensuring quality assurance and providing coaching/mentoring to colleagues.
• Participating in the collection, collation, and reporting of performance management data in line with statutory and organizational requirements.
• Engaging in training and development activities.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children and families.
• Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months. If on the update service, you could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if not currently held.

Notes:

• Duration: 3 - 6 months initially
• Hours: 9 am - 5 pm, hybrid working arrangement
