Job summary

Churchside Medical Practice in Mansfield is seeking an experienced Lead Practice Nurse to provide high-quality care. The role requires 31.5 hours per week with a 7:30am start on most days and a later finish on Wednesdays for Enhanced Access.

Prior GP practice nursing experience is preferred, with familiarity in SystmOne being advantageous but training available. The successful candidate will lead the nursing/HCA team, ensure efficient patient care, and support ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and record medical information accurately
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care
• Cytology
• Baby immunisations
• Administer vaccines and medications as needed
• Chronic disease management (diabetes, COPD, asthma)
• Educate patients on health management and lifestyle choices
• HRT reviews
• Wound care and support to HCAs
• Phlebotomy
• Dealing with samples
• Infection control lead
• Ordering of clinical stock items
• Fridge and stock rotations
