Senior Practice Lead (Grade 11) - Children's Services
Chester / Ellesmere Port, Cheshire West
Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00
Up to £40/hour (Umbrella)

Are you an experienced social work professional looking for your next challenge? We're on the lookout for a Senior Practice Lead (Grade 11) to join a supportive and high-performing team in Cheshire West.

About the Role:

  • You'll provide professional expertise and support to children's social workers and other professionals working with:
    • Children in Need
    • Child Protection
    • Pre-Proceedings & Care Proceedings

You will also:

  • Supervise and mentor family support workers and social work staff
  • Manage a small complex caseload
  • Promote evidence-based practice using tools like Research in Practice & C4EO
  • Support professional development across the team
  • Maintain high-quality case work in line with Cheshire West's standards

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualified experience
  • Strong background in Duty/Assessment, CIN & CP/Legal work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Recent references
  • Ability to work honestly and collaboratively with families and partner agencies
