Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Practice Education Facilitator for the Urgent Treatment Centre in Bath. The role leads education, training and practice development, developing staff competencies and coordinating CPD, teaching and research opportunities.

The post focuses on collaborative programme design with universities and external providers, guideline development, audits, and governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an autonomous practitioner in an Urgent Treatment Centre or equivalent at Band 7.
• Independent prescriber.
• History of educational delivery, as evidenced on application form.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of education, training and practice-development activity in the UTC.
• Ensure staff achieve required competencies and have access to reflective learning, CPD, high-quality teaching and research opportunities.
• Collaborate with universities, Trust colleagues and external providers to design and deliver programmes meeting standards.

Main duties of the job:

• Leading the coordination of education, training, and practice-development activity in the UTC
• Ensuring staff achieve required competencies and have access to reflective learning, CPD, high-quality teaching, research opportunities, and professional support
• Working collaboratively with universities, Trust colleagues, and external education providers to design and deliver programmes that meet departmental and national standards
• Supporting the development of guidelines, leading audit activity, and championing innovation in clinical education
• Managing educational records and data, contributing to governance processes, and ensuring policies remain current and evidence-based
• Driving service improvement through excellent communication, strong relationships, and effective planning
