Job description

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Practice Director to join the team.

In this role, you will support three sites: Buchan, Deveron, and Miller & Swann, working full-time, 40 hours a week. You will work closely with our Regional Director to ensure the best for our practices and enjoy living in a stunning part of the world! Salary is up to £65k, depending on experience, plus benefits.

This Senior Practice Director role will be key in supporting the strategic direction and leadership, providing:

  • Great people and leadership skills to generate high engagement within the team, region, and practices
  • Excellent communication skills delivering all key messages across the hub.
  • Working closely with the Regional Director, Regional Clinical Leads, Operations Support Manager, HR, Finance, and all other support staff resources
  • Business development knowledge, interpreting financial information, data, and KPI dashboards
  • Ability to look for new and additional services and build on overall practice and team development
  • Carrying out regular practice visits, attending and presenting at regional meetings, and working alongside other Senior Clinical/Practice Directors
  • Looking at rota management, debt management, and insurance claim forms across all practices and implementing improvements, if required.

You will have a main practice base while supporting the two other practices: offering support, leadership, commercial, and strategic direction, including leading practice meetings, hosting 121's, and delivering practice operational and administrative tasks. This Senior Practice Director role is full-time working 40 hours per week, although some flexibility may be required.

You may currently be a Practice Director or Practice Manager in a small animal practice looking for your next step forward. A Clinical/Veterinary Nurse background is advantageous but not essential, and we welcome applications from leaders with multi-site management, business development, and experience in non-clinical backgrounds.

The successful Senior Practice Director is offered a salary up to £65k, depending on experience, along with a generous benefits package, including:

  • Up to 7 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays (or equivalent) with our Buy/Sell holiday scheme - allowing you to purchase an additional two weeks of annual leave
  • Receive an extra day's leave each year in your first 5 years at CVS
  • Leadership training is encouraged and fully funded
  • Company pension scheme
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • Generously funded CPD allowance
  • Colleague discount on pet treatments and products
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay
