Job summary

Wachsman, a global blockchain-focused communications and strategy consultancy, seeks an ambitious senior strategic communications professional for its London office. You will own a portfolio of clients, delivering strategic counsel and exceptional service across regions and disciplines.

You will lead a high-performance team, drive media relations for finance, fintech, crypto and tech clients, and guide complex narratives while collaborating with regional colleagues to scale operations globally.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of recent PR agency experience leading media relations and client accounts.
• Exceptional strategic writing, verbal communication, and narrative development skills.
• Experience or strong curiosity in finance, fintech, crypto or Web3; frontier technology is a plus.
• Proven track record of operating successfully within a global matrix structure.
• Excellent knowledge of tier-1 financial and technology media landscapes.
• Ability to think strategically, manage crisis situations, and communicate complex concepts.
• Passion for mentoring, coaching and inspiring junior colleagues in a high-visibility team.
• High autonomy, detail-orientation, and drive to contribute to agency culture.

Responsibilities

• Planning and executing highly successful, cross-border PR campaigns with international teams.
• Managing day-to-day strategic communications for finance, fintech, crypto and tech clients.
• Delivering exceptional client service to support retention and organic growth.
• Drafting, editing, and reviewing press materials, thought leadership, and positioning documents.
• Fostering proactive tier-1 media relations and high-value media opportunities.
• Embedding industry and media knowledge to advise clients and secure opportunities.
• Leading a high-performance team: allocating resources, managing workloads, and developing staff.
• Driving reactive issues management and crisis response for clients.
• Conducting workshops, media training, and alignment meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Bringing fresh ideas and momentum to scale operations globally from London.
