Job Description:

Based in Alzenau near Frankfurt in Germany, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities and primarily for its World Rally Championship program. We are currently seeking a Senior Powertrain Support Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring powertrain activities during in-car tests and events.

1. Show responsibility for the powertrain management system strategies and calibration preparation prior to events and tests
2. Responsibility for the powertrain-specific test plan preparation and achievement during tests
3. Monitor engine and gearbox data during tests and events (fire ups, roll-outs, tests,...)
4. Responsible for powertrain reporting after tests and events, including testing results, calibration, problems
5. Liaise with the rest of the event team, including engineers and drivers, for all that is powertrain related
6. Responsible for powertrain activities, engine mechanics job during events
7. Propose technical solutions for problems and performance improvements within the Powertrain group
8. Support dyno calibration activities when needed

Qualifications

1. M.Sc. or MEng with a technical engineering background in engine
2. Previous experience in the motorsport environment (WRC, Endurance, GT, F1,...)
3. Good understanding of internal combustion race engine fundamentals
4. Experience of engine calibration
5. Fluent English is mandatory
6. Knowledge of Engine Management Systems and data analysis (Marelli or equivalent)
7. Flexible approach to working hours and tasks
8. Ability to work as part of a team and create a motivating environment
9. Self-motivation and ability to manage & deliver tasks to meet commitments
