We are seeking a Senior Powertrain Support Engineer to join our team in Warrington, Cheshire. The role involves overseeing and monitoring powertrain activities during in-car tests and events, ensuring optimal performance and calibration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage powertrain system strategies and calibration before events and tests.
2. Prepare and execute powertrain test plans during testing phases.
3. Monitor engine and gearbox data during tests and events.
4. Report on powertrain testing results, calibration status, and issues.
5. Coordinate with engineers and drivers on powertrain-related matters.
6. Oversee powertrain activities and engine mechanics during events.
7. Propose technical solutions and performance improvements within the team.
8. Support dynamometer calibration activities as needed.

Qualifications:

1. M.Sc. or MEng in a technical engineering field related to engines.
2. Experience in motorsport environments such as WRC, Endurance, GT, or F1.
3. Strong understanding of internal combustion race engine fundamentals.
4. Experience with engine calibration.
5. Fluent in English.
6. Knowledge of Engine Management Systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Marelli).
7. Flexible with working hours and tasks.
