Job summary
McLaren Automotive is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to strengthen our Powertrain team. You will own supplier quality across a global base, guiding activities from sourcing and industrialisation to launch and series production.
You will lead APQP/PPAP for new and changed components, drive design for manufacture improvements, monitor supplier performance, and resolve critical issues with structured problem solving.
Qualifications
- Experience leading supplier industrialisation, APQP and PPAP in complex vehicle programmes.
- Ability to assess manufacturing feasibility, process capability, and supplier readiness.
- Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D and DMAIC per IATF 16949/AIAG.
- Strong GD&T and dimensional control in high-precision manufacturing.
- Excellent stakeholder management and senior-level issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Own supplier quality and development across a global Powertrain supply base.
- Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new and changed components.
- Improve design for manufacture, process capability and product quality.
- Support programme launches with proactive supplier development.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead audits and improvement plans.
- Resolve critical supplier issues with containment and corrective actions.
