Senior Power Underwriter

Are you someone who is an experienced underwriter in the power generation market who is looking to enhance their career through supporting of the energy transition, build a power portfolio within the renewable energy team.

A bit about the job:

We are looking to expand our Renewable Energy offering to include mixed power portfolios, as well as other new emerging technologies. We are looking for an experienced underwriter to join the team to support this expansion. Aviva have ambitions to be a lead insurer in supporting the net zero transition and we cannot achieve this without expanding our product offering to existing clients and new clients and this role is critically important in helping us achieve that. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the established Renewable Energy and Engineering team, while being responsible for growing the renewable portfolio outside of its current scope.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Underwriting experience in the London insurance market
• Power generation knowledge
• Personable and a good team player with the ability to work well under pressure with good time management
• Ability to underwrite while complying to all risk and governance requirements
• Self-motivated and ambitious
