Job summary

STRABAG UK LIMITED is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Power team delivering major Transmission & Distribution projects across the UK. You will oversee safe delivery from design through handover, manage budgets and programmes, and build strong client relationships.

This role requires a degree in engineering (or equivalent), a recognised project management qualification, and a track record in the Power sector, including NEC contracts and NG safety rules.

Qualifications

• PM must have proven experience in Power Transmission & Distribution projects.
• Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and NG safety rules/PTW.
• Experience managing budgets, programmes, risks, and NEC contracts.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and team management skills.
• Recognised Project Management qualification.
• Health and safety qualification such as IOSH, SMSTS, or NEBOSH.
• Experience delivering projects for National Grid Electricity Transmission.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, programme, budget, resources, risks, and change control.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Provide regular project performance reporting, including progress, financials, risks, and opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support future business opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety culture.
