Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking a Project Manager to lead safe, on-time delivery of transmission and distribution projects across the UK power sector. You will manage scope, budget, programme and stakeholders, from design through handover, in NEC contract environments.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in Power Transmission & Distribution.
• CDM regulations and NG safety rules/PTW procedures knowledge.
• Experience managing budgets, programmes, risks and NEC contracts.
• Engineering or related degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• PM qualification recognized (e.g., PMP/APM).
• IOSH/SMSTS/NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
• Experience delivering projects for National Grid Electricity Transmission.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery across the full lifecycle (design to handover).
• Manage scope, programme, budget, resources, risks and change control.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Oversee design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage NEC contracts and support commercial activities.
• Provide regular project performance reporting (progress, financials, risks).
• Build strong client relationships and pursue future opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote a strong safety culture.
