Rate: Flexible

Hybrid: Remote working is allowed, but onsite presence is required for team meetings in Brussels.

We are seeking a skilled PowerBI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing advanced PowerBI dashboards, creating paginated reports, managing PowerBI administration tasks, and working with PowerBI data sources. This role is crucial for enabling our organization to make data-driven decisions through effective data visualization and reporting solutions.

Location: Candidates must be based in Belgium, France, The Netherlands, or the UK.

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop effective dashboard solutions using UI/UX principles.
• Balance cost, quality, and completeness in deliverables.
• Design, develop, and implement interactive PowerBI dashboards.
• Test reports and dashboards thoroughly.
• Develop and maintain paginated reports with PowerBI Report Builder.
• Optimize reports for performance and user requirements.
• Manage PowerBI service, including workspace management, data gateway configuration, and user access control.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement security, data governance, and compliance best practices.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including on-premises and cloud-based sources like SQL, Oracle, Mainframe, Hadoop, files, and O365.
• Develop and manage ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Create and manage semantic data models for report and dashboard use.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
• Propose and implement enhancements to PowerBI solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Migrate existing Cognos reports to PowerBI.
• Support users in report development and usage.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience developing PowerBI dashboards.
• Strong technical skills with a good understanding of business needs.
• Proficiency in Power BI, especially the Cloud edition, with strong skills in DAX and Power Query.
• Knowledge of Azure Synapse and Power Platform stacks.
• Experience with PowerBI administration, including workspace management and security.
• Proficiency in SQL and data integration from various sources.
• Experience with data modeling using Kimball, Dimensional Modeling, and Data Vault.
• Knowledge of Cognos BI reporting is a plus.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence methodologies and agile development (SCRUM).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
