The Role
The Client Relationship Lead will oversee all account management activities to achieve strategic client service, retention, and sales objectives. You will collaborate closely with the client service and broking teams to ensure client needs are met or exceeded for all deliverables. Your industry expertise in power generation will be leveraged to provide specialized insights and solutions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Engaging actively with clients, participating in major meetings, and staying informed on account development.
- Supporting client development opportunities as an industry expert to strengthen relationships.
- Leading development strategies, execution, and business growth initiatives.
- Overseeing regional marketing efforts and supporting key campaigns, especially in areas like Climate Risk and Energy Transition.
- Using industry knowledge to identify client needs and provide integrated value propositions.
- Enhancing industry awareness and creating intellectual property for external publication.
- Preparing proposals and presentations with marketing resources and technical specialists.
- Researching and responding to client policy and coverage questions.
- Building relationships with client decision-makers and insurers.
- Managing account renewal and cross-sell opportunities.
- Requesting policy changes and endorsements to optimize coverage.
- Managing client deliverables within set timeframes.
- Developing program designs and final proposals.
- Assisting in client submission preparations.
- Maintaining accurate client databases and sales pipelines.
Qualifications
The Requirements:
- Extensive client management experience.
- Proven experience in servicing middle market and large risk managed accounts within the insurance industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and industry trends.
- Expertise in the power generation sector, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Ability to advise management on risk management issues.
- Capacity to deliver exceptional client service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams.
- Multitasking ability in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent customer service and presentation skills.
Power Generation Industry Expertise
- Understanding of power generation segments like integrated generators, CCGTs, coal-fired plants, waste-to-energy, power barges, and transmission/distribution.
- Knowledge of operational insurances such as physical damage, machinery breakdown, business interruption, and liabilities.
- Familiarity with risk engineering for power facilities.
- Awareness of electrification and renewable energy trends, including decarbonization efforts.
- Experience managing power insurances, retrofit, and new construction projects.
