Description

Role Duties:

Responsible to the Deputy Principal Lawyer for delivery of legal advice and casework in the area of Prosecution Law, within Barking and Dagenham Legal Services, experience to include ;

  • Prosecutions and advice for Health and Safety, Trading Standards, Planning, Licensing, Environment, Private Sector Housing, Food Safety and other areas
  • Enforcement and recovery of expenses relating to statutory notices issued by Private Sector Housing and Trading Standards and other clients
  • Advice to the Council in respect of proceedings before the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber/General Regulatory Chamber)
  • Advice to the Council in respect of licensing (Licensing Act 2003, Gambling, Street Trading and other Licenses)
